Chandigarh

Early in the morning we left delhi and drove 300km on a rather comfortable highway

up north to Chandigarh.

Chandigarh is a city with a masterplan (a plan by Les Corbusier to be exact)

which feels a bit like barcelona, the whole city is built up as a rigid grid with

roundabouts at every crossing and wide streets aligned with trees.

It feels so much better than the chaotic, tree-less narrow streets of delhi.

We stayed at hotel satyadeep and had our motorbikes serviced by a genius-mechanic before the whole trip really begins.
